Charities come high in any competition for ‘blowing one’s own trumpet’. And yet, when you think about it, the views of others carry far more weight.
That is why I was particularly pleased to receive literature from Compassion in World Farming, where the Head of Agriculture at no less than Marks & Spencer was quoted as having said: “Our relationship with Compassion in World Farming has been an important factor in encouraging Marks & Spencer to make real improvements to farm animal welfare”.
Compassion in World Farmning has come a long way in 40 years. For those of us who are not vegans, it is tackling what many of our consciences feel should be done.
