Sightsavers International has sent details of six people in different parts of the world who have been helped by its work in a range of ways.
The accompaning letter contains the following paragraph: “These are difficult times for all and we understand that you may be reviewing your priorities to support in the coming months, or may already have done so. We have put in place robust measures to minimise the effects of the economic downturn and our goal is to ensure that those who we seek to help do not pay the price for problems which are not of their making.”
That seems to be a sensible, realitsic approach, which I hope will be adopted by others.
