Dream Makers has sent a letter to an address which I left more than five years ago, using he name of an organisation whose correct address is widely available in reference books and on the web. Did it just buy a list of names and addresses? If so, it has received poor value for money. Or does it simply work on the ’scatter gun’ approach? In either case, bearing in mind the high cost of direct mail, it must be questionable whether it is using its fundraising budget to best effect.
