Are they simply trying to wear me down, into a state of submission? The smile Train has been sending a number of requests – each time along the lines of ‘Make one gift now and we’ll never ask for another donation again’.

It seems as though they may be trying to annoy me to such an extent that I shall send a donation simply to get them off my back. Perhaps, in time, they will ‘get the message’ and realise that they need to use some other ploy, so far as I am concerned. But I am not making any promises. There are other charities higher up my list.
