Mission Direct is another charity working in the world’s most deprived areas.  No one can deny that the work of the charity is necessary and to my knowledge it is also effective.

But like the rest of us they do make mistakes.  Judging by the number of people who are ready to jump down the throats of charities for the slightest error, errors should be avoided.

The first sentence of the letter which I have received reads: “Mission Direct is now conducting the first part of its annual appeal in the sample town area”. I assume that this is a draft and that the words “sample town” are being replaced by the name of a real town.  It doesn’t worry me but see above.
