I am a retired Headmaster and sometime University Tutor.
I am married with one daughter (deceased).
I am the Founder and Chairman of a local hospice providing specialist palliative care to between six and seven hundred people each year, founded 16 years ago.
I am interested in community and business involvement in local charities. Also in how charities are funded, including proportion of state funding and effects of various levels of state funding on independence. I support homeless, third world and refugee charities when possible.
My personal interests include European travel, cycling and making violins.
