Action for street kids is an organisation which tries to provide “home” and “hope” to orphaned and abandoned children whose only home now is the street. They exist across the world and this is yet another charity which steps in when the adults who should care do not. The reply form gives the opportunity to [...]

Barnardos is one of the oldest Children’s Charities which has, over many years, dealt with childhood deprivation and disablement in all its forms. The latest mailing describes Autistic Spectrum Disorder, a frightening lack of ability to communicate. The mailing contains a set of illustrations described as part of “literature exchange communication system” which can help to [...]

I blogged recently about not being offended by being addressed as “Dear Friend”. Should I be offended by being sent a Valentine Card by a charity? Of course not, rather I congratulate whoever had the idea of exploiting this annual festival of love in the hope, and I am sure expectation, that in the hearts [...]

Having just received a pair of gloves from the Diabetes Wellness Foundation and a dog blanket from IFAW, I must refer again to incentives and specifically to an article in “Charity Funding Report” published in December by CaritasData. It reports evidence to the effect that the inclusion of a pen with an appeal can bring [...]

“Transform lives with trees” was the message on the envelope from this charity’s patron Zoe Wannamaker and what a wonderful positive way this is to support those living in some of the poorer areas of Africa, the dry lands of the Sahel where the rainfall, frequent drought and few natural resources are the norm.
Planting and [...]

Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (is this a registered charity I am [...]
