From moaning about those who bombard me with appeals, i am now thinking about those charities to which i made a donation and have heard nothing since. I appreciate my tenner (or if years ago maybe just a fiver) does not count as a kings ransom, but i do wonder that there are charities for which the odd unsolicited donation counts as nothing. How did they know i was not a potential cash cow, worth wooing for later larger donations?

There were others i gave to and stopped after a short while so maybe i got fed up making all the running, or they simply slipped down the pecking order of my priorities.
