Whilst I appreciate that existing supporters are an important source of new funds for most charities, there comes a point that being constantly badgered for extra cash may lead the supporter to question their continued support for that organisation. I have reached this point with the Woodland Trust.

Over the past two weeks I have received three separate calls asking whether I would consider increasing the small monthly donation that I have been making for a number of years. Clearly my initial answer of “No thanks” has not been noted. I have therefore promised myself that if I get any further such calls then the monthly donation will be terminated.
