			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The credit crunch is hitting Rusisa same as everywhere else of course. But there are some aspects of life here which I find hard to accept.</p>
<p>For example, there are hundreds of workers in my area who are still waiting for their salaries from November, December and January. BUT&#8230;&#8230;their employers are hiring labour from outside Russia and they are being paid on time.</p>
<p>Who says charity begins at home? Not here it seems.</p>

Strange but before I departed I was under the impression that Ukraine closed the gas lines to various other countries. My Rusian contacts had claimed that this was the case. So.. quite surprised to find that everyone in the West was up in arms about Russia shutting off the supplies. Turns out of course that this was in fact the case after all.</p>
<p>Russia may be becoming more open shall we say: but still pumping out misleading propaganda for local consumpion it seems.</p>
